Market Towns
The 'Walkers Are Welcome' town of Church Stretton is only six miles away, and is the gateway to the Stretton Hills. Nearby Much Wenlock is regarded as the birthplace of the modern Olympic Games and you can explore the Olympic Town Trail. Bridgnorth is actually a tale of two towns. 'High Town' is perched dramatically on top of one hundred foot sandstone cliffs. Beneath the cliffs is 'Low Town', which straddles the River Severn. The two are linked by a series of historic winding steps and unique cliff railway.
Half an hour north of Court Farm B&B is Shrewsbury, Shropshire's county town, with its pretty black and white timber buildings and independent shops set within its quirky lanes and streets. Ludlow is the ‘foodie' capital of Shropshire, with 2 Michelin starred restaurants, local markets, delicatessens, and plenty of pubs and inns, as well as the annual food festival.
